We are incredibly proud to share this moment: the successful donation of 5 vital Electrocardiogram (ECG) machines to Uganda Heart Institute in Mulago, Jinja, Mbarara, Masaka Regional Referral Hospitals, and Busolwe General Hospital in Butaleja. These machines have been used to help over 10,000 patients. Additionally, 12 children have been supported for heart surgeries. This initiative was the primary focus of our recent major camping fundraiser, demonstrating that the funds raised around the campfire directly translate into life-saving equipment and healthcare for our communities.
Service Above Self: The Power of Collaboration
This project’s success is a testament to powerful collaboration. In this image, we see Rotarians and medical staff joining hands around the new machine. To the Dedicated Medical Professionals: Thank you for your tireless work. This equipment is placed in the most capable hands—yours. We hope these new ECG machines will significantly enhance your ability to perform early detection and management of cardiovascular diseases, ultimately saving more lives. To Our Fellowship Members and Supporters: Every tent pitched, every ticket purchased, and every donation made at our camping events funded this precise moment. This is your impact!
Why ECG Machines?
NCardiovascular disease remains a leading health concern in our region. Access to reliable ECG technology is crucial for early diagnosis of heart conditions. By donating these machines, the Rotary Fellowship of Camping is directly contributing to:
- Reduced Mortality: Enabling faster, more accurate treatment decisions.
- Improved Diagnostics: Equipping local facilities with essential tools.
- Community Health: Building stronger, healthier communities, which is the ultimate goal of Rotary.
Conclusion
This is what happens when fellowship meets philanthropy. Thank you for helping us turn a weekend of adventure into a year of life-changing service.
